Chanakya, also known as Kautilya or Vishnugupta, was an ancient Indian teacher, philosopher, economist, and royal advisor. He served as a professor at the ancient University of Takshashila and later became the chief advisor to Emperor Chandragupta Maurya. His treatise "Arthashastra" on statecraft, economics, and military strategy is considered one of the greatest works of political science. Chanakya's brilliance lay not just in his knowledge but in his ability to identify and nurture talent — he took a young Chandragupta and shaped him into one of India's greatest emperors.
