    Biography

Dr. Avul Pakir Jainulabdeen Abdul Kalam was an aerospace scientist who served as the 11th President of India from 2002 to 2007. Known as the "People's President," he was instrumental in developing India's ballistic missile and nuclear weapons programs. Despite his monumental achievements in science and governance, Dr. Kalam considered himself first and foremost a teacher. After his presidency, he returned to academia, teaching at IIT, IIM, and various universities across India. He collapsed and died while delivering a lecture at IIM Shillong — doing what he loved most: teaching. His ability to connect with young minds and inspire them to dream big made him one of India's most beloved educators.
